The documentary film “Sana Masal Anlatmıyorum”, shot by the students of our university's Yozgat Vocational School Radio and TV programming department, has been accepted to the official selection of the international The Lift-Off Sessions Film Festival held in the UK.
The documentary film directed by Yozgat Vocational School Radio TV programming Lecturer Batuhan Kalaycı, about the life of 7-year-old Umutcan, who has SMA disease, was completed in two years. The shooting of the film, which was brought to the big screen in order to raise public awareness about SMA disease, was shot in Antalya.
After the festival selection, the film will also be presented to audience awards in the UK, and if it is successful once again, it will be eligible to be screened at Pinewood studios.
Congratulating our University Lecturer Batuhan Kalaycı and students for the documentary film that was accepted to the official selection of The Lift-Off Sessions Film Festival, our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Karadağ said: "We are delighted that our university is visible in every field. Our university will make its name known in national and international platforms. I would like to congratulate our Lecturer Batuhan Kalaycı and our students for the documentary film that was shot. I sincerely believe that they will return from the festival with great success."
