Al Farabi State University is the largest and most established university in Kazakhstan. It is located in Almaty, Kazakhstan's largest city.

Ranked 207 in the Top 500 Universities in the World Ranking Al Farabi University,

the oldest and largest university in Kazakhstan, is located in the former capital of Almaty and was founded in 1934. There are a total of 20,000 students including undergraduate and graduate students. The Kazgugrad campus is built on 100 hectares and is the largest campus in the country. Al Farabi University has 16 faculties and 98 departments. Around 4000 students from 80 different countries continue their education in this school.

Al-Farabi Kazakh State University ranked 236th in the QS World University Rankings 2016/17. Al-Farabi University generally ranks first and rarely second in 
the ranking of Kazakhstan universities in the annual success evaluations in Kazakhstan.

It was ranked 31st among the 50 most advanced universities in the world by the Great Value olleges, an international organization. It conducts major 
scientific cooperation projects with international universities. The language of instruction is Kazakh Turkish, English and Russian.

Al Farabi University is a university with rich social facilities. It has a large and content rich library, museums within the faculty, internet centers, sports and life centers, student service center, dormitories, young scientists house, dining hall, student medical center.

Al Farabi University is the first Kazakhstan university in the history of the Republic of Kazakhstan to receive the "Achievement Award in the field of quality".

Al Farabi National University is a founding member of the Association of International Universities and Eurasian Universities in the field of quality and service. It is the first university of Kazakhstan and Central Asian countries to sign the Declaration of Major Universities in Bologna.

Al Farabi University has 16 faculties, 63 departments, 20 scientific research institutes and centers, 1 technopark and more than 2000 professors. It works.

Language of Instruction at Alfarabi University is Russian. Prior to undergraduate education, students must take one year (10 months) Russian preparatory  class language courses at the university. T. C. HORIZONTAL TRANSITION PROCEDURES OF NATIONAL STUDENTS FROM HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS TO HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS IN TURKEY
 

T. C. In addition to the provisions of the Regulation on the Principles of Geçiş Transition Between Associate Degree and Undergraduate Programs in Higher 
Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Inter-institutional Credit Transfer aşağıdaki, the following conditions are regulated by the Presidency of 
Higher Education Council. if they meet:

1) Students enrolled in higher education institutions abroad before the 2019-2020 academic year are required to meet the requirements of the ÖSYS / YKS Guidelines in the year of registration to the higher education institution abroad.

2) In the 2019-2020 academic year, the applications of the students who will register to the higher education institutions abroad are evaluated;

a) To enter 2019-YKS for programs such as Medicine, Law, Engineering, Architecture, and Teaching, which are stipulated in the ranking of success in Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) guidelines and to ensure the success order sought for the relevant program,

b) To be admitted to the 2019-YKS for the programs that are not sought for success, and the central placement score of the type of score applicable to the 
diploma program s / he wishes to pass is equal to or higher than the lowest base score of the equivalent diploma programs of other universities in Turkey,

c) In applications for transfer to special talent programs, it is required to provide the lowest central exam score declared for special talent programs in 
2019-YKS. Universities will be able to make special talent exams while special talent programs are being evaluated for transfer applications.

3) In the 2019-2020 academic year, the students who will register to the undergraduate programs of higher education institutions abroad by counting their 
associate degree education from the higher education institutions in our country and then transfer to the higher education institutions in Turkey are 
required to meet the requirements stated in article 2.

4) In the 2019-2020 academic year, students who have started to study in the top 500 universities in the QS or Times Higher Education world rankings have 
successfully completed at least the second grade except for the preparatory class. (3, 4, 5 th classes), and in the associate degree programs, a transfer to  the third semester (second year) can be made.

5) T.C. The above conditions are not required for the students who have completed their secondary education abroad and started to higher education and foreign students.

6) Transfer from higher education institutions abroad to higher education institutions in TRNC. National students are also required to meet the above requirements.
